Here is the 2010 Crackpot quilt all basted and ready for quilting. This is almost certainly a record short time from completion of the quilt top to basting! I am proud. Of course, quilting has not yet begun, and who knows when it will what with Christmas approaching and other secret projects needing completion.
Better basted than busted, eh? 🙂
Did we decide what we were going to bind this with? Because I know it’s just temporary while you quilt it, but I really like the effect of the backing fabric on the bottom edge there. If we haven’t decided about binding, is there enough of the backing to do the binding like that?
It does look great. And at first glance, I wondered if you had bound it already.
It looks great! Congrats on setting a record for time from piecing completion to basting completion.
In response to Cathy, well, um, there was enough of the backing fabric to do the binding, that is until I screwed up the cutting thereof. So now I will go with Plan B, which will be solid royal blue. Unless, of course, we can find more of the fabric at a certain fabric emporium in MI that we may want to visit over Thanksgiving.
